Why should I play with my dog?
Why should you play with your little punk? Well, the real question is: why wouldn't you?! Playing with your dog isn't just about having a laugh (though that's a big part of it). It's also about building a bond that's stronger than superglue.
Then there's the exercise angle. Just like us humans, dogs need to get off the couch and move their bodies. Playing fetch, chasing after a squeaky toy, or even just romping around the garden is like hitting the treadmill for them. It keeps them fit, healthy, and full of beans (and the same could be said for you!)
But perhaps the best reason to play with your dog is the sheer joy of it all. There's something magical about seeing your furry mate's tail wagging a mile a minute, their eyes shining with excitement, and their tongue lolling out in pure bliss. It's contagious. Playing with your dog isn't just good for them - it's good for the soul.
So next time you're feeling a bit down or stressed out, grab a ball, a rope toy, or whatever raggedy scrappy toy they’ve fallen in love with, and let the games begin. Trust me, you'll both be better off for it.
