Does my dog understand me?

Your dog might not speak English (or any other human language), but that doesn't mean they don't understand you in their own, special way.

See, dogs are experts at picking up on cues and signals from their humans. They might not know the exact words you're saying, but they can definitely tune into your tone of voice, your body language, and even your facial expressions.

When you tell your pup they're a good boy or girl in that silly, high-pitched voice you reserve just for them, they know you're happy with them. And when you come home after a long day and slump onto the sofa with a sigh, they can sense that something's up and might come over to offer some furry comfort.

Plus, over time, you and your dog develop your own little language of sorts. You learn to understand each other's quirks, habits, and little idiosyncrasies. It's like you're speaking a secret language that only the two of you understand.

So, while your dog might not understand every word that comes out of your mouth, they understand you in a way that's uniquely canine. And really, isn't that the most important thing?
